For this week I chose my own theme and because the weather is getting slightly warmer I thought I'd take pictures of something that shows the weather: Clouds on all different days.
Day 57- When I was in the car I saw this abandoned building and the sky was getting darker as it was about to rain so I took a black and white photo to show the contrast between the light clouds and the darkening sky over the rooftop of the house . This to me is aesthetically pleasing as the high contrast shows the detail of decay in the house too.
Day 58- When I went to Liverpool it was a sunny day and the bright sky was something everybody seemed happy about. The clouds were bright white and the sky was an amazing blue. Both whites from the clouds and the big wheel were different as the wheel was dirtier and less bright.
Day 59- I went to Avenham park again as the sun was setting so you could see the lines in the clouds and the orange tint in the back of photo. To me this looks almost like something an artist would paint wit the bright blues, greens, and illuminating orange in the background.
Day 60- On the way to work there were barely any clouds in the sky and it was a hot day which is an unusual thing as the people from the north west know in March and I liked the way the narrow tree branches pointe towards the sky rather than wild everywhere.
Day 61- This was taken on a hill behind my flat and I love the bright colours behind the clouds and the fact there is so many straight edge buildings cutting into the clouds which are opposite, free flowing and round. I found this pleasing as there were a lot of buildings around and the picture had been split into half sky half buildings which I found a good medium for the image.
Day 62- As I was walking home from work the sun was in my eyes and I could barely see where I was going. I took a photo of the sun which created the orange and red lines in the right hand bottom of the photograph but then towards the other side of the photo it's shadowed and dark which shows a contrast between light and dark.
Day 63- Both buildings at each side of the photo are overlooking and intimidating and straight edge. The reasons why I took a photo of both these buildings is because of the difference between the shiny building and the dark building. The photo balances itself out by having light clouds behind the dark building and dark sky behind the shiny building. The sky almost splits the photo right down the middle.
To conclude this series for this week I feel that rather than taking photos of just clouds it's been focused more on the subjects underneath the clouds that are being highlighted most.
